The Colossal VS Baby Roll - Review/Battle

Image
Hello Lovelies! Today I got a quick Mascara Battle for you guys! In my last post I showed you guys what I picked up in Superdrug. Check out my Mini Superdrug Haul Post here . At Superdrug I picked up two mascaras, The L'oreal Baby Roll mascara and the Maybelline Colossal . Baby roll is something I wanted to try out since it came out while the colossal is an old favourite. I wanted to compare the two, see how well they do on my short lashes, how they last throughout the day and how easy they are to remove. This is what the L'oreal Baby Roll looked like right after application: This is what the Maybelline Colossal looked like right after application: Application: I do think that the Maybelline was easier to apply. L'oreal was a lot more clumpy and almost made my lashes just look wet. It didn't separate or elongate them at all. Maybelline Colossal - 8/10 L'oreal Baby Roll - 5/10 Lasting: The both lasted really really well. There was no s...

Top 5 Drugstore Disappointments - July 2017

Image
Hello lovelies! I have recently come across some drugstore items that have been massive disappointments. It's never fun going out, spending money on something and then hating everything about it. I really want to help you guys out and tell you the 5 items that I found to be serious disappointments and therefore don't recommend you spending money on them. As a disclaimer I would like to mention that if you own any of these products and really like them or even completely disagree with my opinion that's totally fine. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I'm more than happy to listen to yours. If you believe a product I listed doesn't deserve to be on this list please let me know why you think so :) These products are listed in so specific order. The first product that I'm really disappointed in is this Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Kit - Lightening Contour F01.  The size and presentation of this palette is the only good thing about it. It...

Cheap Primark Nail Varnishes - Review

Image
Hello my lovelies! Although pregnancy has many beauty cons like weak hair, greasy roots and dry ends, spots etc, one pro that this pregnancy has brought me is strong nails. I always suffered from very fragile and weak nails that wouldn't grow longer than 2mm without chipping, pealing or tearing. After suffering for years my nails finally look amazing and I'm making the most of it by painting them regularly either with normal nail varnishes or gels (I have a gel nail qualification and do them myself at home). While strolling around Primark a few weeks back I decided to pick up some nail polishes. I picked up 2 of their 90p polishes and 4 from the £1.50 group. I can't lie, they look pretty good. The bottles look sturdy, haven't found no problems with the brushes and they are in general a good size for the price. I thought it would be a good idea to try them out and see how they do. Considering 2 of them are cheaper than Poundland varnishes I was intrigued to...

Top 5 Drugstore Lipsticks - Review

Image
Hi guys! I thought it would be not only fun but also very useful to make a list of my top 5 £1   drugstore lipsticks. Whether we admit to it or not, most of us are on a budget, at least majority of the time. I mean c'mon, no matter how much you earn or what your budget for the week/month is, you will always head for the cheaper option first. Don't worry, we are all guilty. We all also know that a purchase always feel better and is more satisfying when its dirt cheap and ends up being your steal of the month. It's not the same when you spend £20 on a lipstick, you simply expect it to be amazing. It was freaking 20 quid after all! The fun kicks in when you find a lipstick for £1 and love everything about it. Now that moment is what we live for. In order to make it a little easier for you guys i thought I would make this list with my favourite red, cherry and purple lipstick, plus my 2 favourite nude lipsticks - all for  £1 each! (These are in no specific order)...

Kaeso Calming Facial Kit - Review and Routine

Image
Hello guys! You probably don't know that I spent the last year completing my Beauty Level 2 qualification at college. As part of my course I had to create an image for a catwalk. This year's topic was Avant-Garde. After trying very hard all year and preparing for the show I got 1st place between 2 classes! My prize consisted of some beauty and makeup products. The main prize was a Kaeso Calming Facial Kit. I wasn't too sure it was for me when I first received it. I never considered my face to be sensitive or in need of 'calming'. I always thought my face was strictly oily (especially since about the 2nd month of my pregnancy).  I was very pleasantly surprised when I observed how my skin changed for the better as i used the kit. The kit consists of a Facial Cleanser 195ml, Scrub 95ml, Mask 95ml, Toner 195ml and Moisturiser 195ml. The kit retails at about £27   I found it for £17 at Just My Look if you're interested to buy it. The whole range smells o...
