Mini Superdrug Haul - July 2017

Image
Hello Lovelies! This week I decided to treat myself a little bit and I finally went and picked up some bits from Superdrug that I've been wanting for a while. Their 3 for 2 offer is currently on so made the whole journey even more enjoyable as I ended up paying for 4 products and getting 2 free. I saved £10! I am so excited to try these out and let you guys know if I like them or not. Stay tuned for some reviews coming soon :) Skin Care - The only item I picked up was the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water . This is an old favourite that I decided to get after being a little disappointed with the Nivea Daily Essentials Eye Make-Up Remover which is a lot oilier than I remember it being. Makeup -   Foundation - As for makeup I decided to try out a new foundation. I have recently developed a very oily skin and therefore founding a good foundation is a lot harder for me than it used to be and we all know that the right base is the most important to make sure y...

Charcoal Teeth Whitening at Home - Lifestyle/DIY

Image
Hello my lovelies! I hope you are all well and enjoying your Saturday. A couple of days ago I came across the HiSmile Day and Night Toothpaste. I decided to subscribe for it and I'm currently waiting for it to be delivered so that I can try it. Stay tuned if you wish to see a fully honest/ not sponsored review. As for now, I thought it would be fun to try out the charcoal teeth whitening technique that has been going round Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram for months! All you need for this is Activated Charcoal Capsules and that's it! If you wish to make enough for a couple of uses and store it in your bathroom then you will also need a little container. I got my Activated Charcoal Capsules from Holland and Barrett for £5.59 My container came from a little travel container set from Poundland. Charcoal is originally used for clearing the body from toxins. The toxins stick to the charcoal which helps them exit the body. Charcoal can also be used to cleanse the ski...

5 Product/Minute Makeup Look - July 2017

Image
Hello lovelies! Today I thought it would fun to try the 5 makeup products challenge. I feel like while doing my makeup on an everyday basis I reach for many different products. I normally use 2 eyebrow products, 2 mascaras, bronzer from one palette and highlighter from another. I wanted to see if I would be able to create a simple everyday makeup look using only 5 products. It would be extremely convenient for travelling and for when you have literally 5 minutes to do your makeup in the morning. I'm not sure if this is cheating or not but I used some products for different purposes. Still staying within the 5 products though didn't I? ;) All these products are easily accessible, I got all of them from my drugstore (that's the only place I get my makeup from anyway  #budgetlife  #mycheapass) I start off by blending out my Revlon Colourstay Foundation - 150 Buff using the flat side of a damp Miracle Complexion Sponge by Real Techniques. For an everyda...

Top 5 Drugstore Disappointments - July 2017

Image
Hello lovelies! I have recently come across some drugstore items that have been massive disappointments. It's never fun going out, spending money on something and then hating everything about it. I really want to help you guys out and tell you the 5 items that I found to be serious disappointments and therefore don't recommend you spending money on them. As a disclaimer I would like to mention that if you own any of these products and really like them or even completely disagree with my opinion that's totally fine. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and I'm more than happy to listen to yours. If you believe a product I listed doesn't deserve to be on this list please let me know why you think so :) These products are listed in so specific order. The first product that I'm really disappointed in is this Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Kit - Lightening Contour F01.  The size and presentation of this palette is the only good thing about it. It...

Cheap Primark Nail Varnishes - Review

Image
Hello my lovelies! Although pregnancy has many beauty cons like weak hair, greasy roots and dry ends, spots etc, one pro that this pregnancy has brought me is strong nails. I always suffered from very fragile and weak nails that wouldn't grow longer than 2mm without chipping, pealing or tearing. After suffering for years my nails finally look amazing and I'm making the most of it by painting them regularly either with normal nail varnishes or gels (I have a gel nail qualification and do them myself at home). While strolling around Primark a few weeks back I decided to pick up some nail polishes. I picked up 2 of their 90p polishes and 4 from the £1.50 group. I can't lie, they look pretty good. The bottles look sturdy, haven't found no problems with the brushes and they are in general a good size for the price. I thought it would be a good idea to try them out and see how they do. Considering 2 of them are cheaper than Poundland varnishes I was intrigued to...

Top 5 Drugstore Lipsticks - Review

Image
Hi guys! I thought it would be not only fun but also very useful to make a list of my top 5 £1   drugstore lipsticks. Whether we admit to it or not, most of us are on a budget, at least majority of the time. I mean c'mon, no matter how much you earn or what your budget for the week/month is, you will always head for the cheaper option first. Don't worry, we are all guilty. We all also know that a purchase always feel better and is more satisfying when its dirt cheap and ends up being your steal of the month. It's not the same when you spend £20 on a lipstick, you simply expect it to be amazing. It was freaking 20 quid after all! The fun kicks in when you find a lipstick for £1 and love everything about it. Now that moment is what we live for. In order to make it a little easier for you guys i thought I would make this list with my favourite red, cherry and purple lipstick, plus my 2 favourite nude lipsticks - all for  £1 each! (These are in no specific order)...

Kaeso Calming Facial Kit - Review and Routine

Image
Hello guys! You probably don't know that I spent the last year completing my Beauty Level 2 qualification at college. As part of my course I had to create an image for a catwalk. This year's topic was Avant-Garde. After trying very hard all year and preparing for the show I got 1st place between 2 classes! My prize consisted of some beauty and makeup products. The main prize was a Kaeso Calming Facial Kit. I wasn't too sure it was for me when I first received it. I never considered my face to be sensitive or in need of 'calming'. I always thought my face was strictly oily (especially since about the 2nd month of my pregnancy).  I was very pleasantly surprised when I observed how my skin changed for the better as i used the kit. The kit consists of a Facial Cleanser 195ml, Scrub 95ml, Mask 95ml, Toner 195ml and Moisturiser 195ml. The kit retails at about £27   I found it for £17 at Just My Look if you're interested to buy it. The whole range smells o...

Hello and welcome to my blog :) My name is Tyna and I hope to see you here often :) To keep things simple let me just tell you all the fun stuff you will soon find on my blog... Lastly, like every young woman I love talking and rambling on about things I love, you will probably find tons of posts where I chat away :) I mostly spend my free time watching youtube videos (my favourite youtubers include sophdoesnails, sophie louise and jazzybum). I also enjoy cross-stitching and sometimes even knitting. My all time favourite makeup brand is Makeup Revolution so be ready to see their makeup a lot around this area :D None of my posts are sponsored and therefore all my opinions are my own. If you...
